Nursery in Xeresa
About us
Astrophytumland is the family nursery of Miguel Mestre Martí in Xeresa, near Gandía (Valencia). We have been cultivating collector's cacti for decades, especially Astrophytum in our greenhouses, for enthusiasts who seek real provenance, clear botanical identity, and specimens prepared to travel with care. Each plant passes through our hands: seed, graft, or clone propagated here, with tracking of size, type of specimen, and condition before being published in the store.
What We Specialize In
We work at the plant's pace. Many of our Astrophytum and Ariocarpus grow for years in the nursery's greenhouses before they are ready for a collection. That patience is part of what we offer: healthy plants, with a nursery history, and no surprises in the product description.
Our catalog revolves around collector's cactus genera and some selected succulents chosen with the same criteria. We look for interesting shapes, recognizable Japanese cultivars, and specimens that deserve a place in the best collections.
We document each specimen with nursery provenance, approximate size, type of specimen, and preparation for careful shipping worldwide. The catalog is organized by genus to quickly find what you are looking for as a collector.

How we work
We want you to know exactly what you're buying. That's why we document each specimen with the information we, as collectors, would like to see.
From seed
Many Astrophytum and Ariocarpus are born in our nursery. Growing from seed takes years, but it allows us to select forms and maintain traceability from the origin.
Clones and grafts
When a cultivar requires it, we propagate clones and grafts in our own nursery to preserve the identity of the specimen you see on the product sheet.
Careful shipping
We pack with thorns, roots and epidermis in mind. Our goal is for the plant to arrive in good condition so it can acclimatize to your collection.
Nursery visit
We are in Xeresa, next to the N-332. If you want to see our greenhouses and select plants in person, we can arrange a visit by appointment via phone or WhatsApp.

Summer hours (July–August): Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–1:30 PM. Afternoons and Saturdays by appointment. Rest of the year: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM–1:30 PM; afternoons and Saturdays also by appointment.
